Infinix Zero Ultra Review: A Premium Display and High-Performance Phone

    DISPLAY

The Infinix Zero Ultra boasts a stunning 6.8-inch curved AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 by 2400 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. This display offers a seamless viewing experience for streaming videos and other content. You can stream high-quality content, even 4K, for the ultimate viewing experience. The curved display adds a touch of premium feels to the device, making the elements on the screen curve to the side. The curved display also makes it easier to use gestures for navigation, making your finger glide smoothly across the screen.

    PERFORMANCE

The Infinix Zero Ultra is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 920, which some people may be skeptical about, but it performed well during use. The device runs on the Google Android 12 OS and Infinix XOS 12, offering an improved user interface compared to older Infinix devices. The device comes with 256GB of storage and 8GB of RAM, with the option to take out up to 5GB of storage to get 13GB of RAM using memory fusion. During usage, the device did not suffer any drop in performance, even while gaming, streaming, and texting simultaneously. The device played Call of Duty smoothly and without any lag, but it is recommended to have faster internet for the highest graphic quality and frame rate. Infinix has packed a lot of features into this device, making it a high-performance phone with a premium display.

However, they got all of it optimized so well, it works like it should. Even the on-screen fingerprint sensor and face unlock. In my Note 12 VIP review, I mentioned the Face Unlock feature got upgraded and it's even better on this device. It's the most efficiently performing face unlock I've seen on an Infinix. The Face Unlock may struggle under unfavorable light conditions and if you wear glasses. There will be some hit-or-miss situations. But, for the most part, I wanted to use it more often than older devices because of how well it performs. The on-screen fingerprint scanner was perfect, swift, and responsive. Most importantly, it was never missed. So, for those who are worried about a phone with a MediaTek chip, you don't have to worry. You'll be just fine.

    Battery:

Let's talk about what I think is the device's biggest selling point, the fast charging feature or Thunder Charge. Infinix claims the 180-watt charger can blast its 4500 mAh battery from 0 to 100 in 12 minutes. I tried testing it but it took 17 minutes to go from 0 to 100, not as fast as advertised. However, after watching Unbox Therapy's video, the device reached 100% in just over 12 minutes. This raises two major questions, how safe is Thunder Charge and does the battery die as fast as it charges? Infinix has multiple layers of cooling to ensure the battery doesn't overheat and becomes a time bomb. The battery life is decent, lasting over 15 hours for me. If you're a heavier user, you can plug in for 10 minutes and be good for another 10 to 12 hours.

    CAMERA

Infinix Zero Ultra Camera Review: A Closer Look at its 200MP Camera, Night Mode, and Selfie CameraThe Infinix Zero Ultra boasts a 200-megapixel primary camera, accompanied by a 13-megapixel ultrawide camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor for portrait shots. The camera performance was impressive, particularly in the 200MP mode and night mode. The night mode produced excellent results with accurate exposure, details captured, and skin tones. However, the 32-megapixel selfie camera had room for improvement, with soft portrait images and average video performance.

    PRICE

Priced at 383,000 Naira (540 dollars), the Infinix Zero Ultra is more expensive than most mid-range devices, but it stands out in its own tier and outpaces the competition. The device offers a great balance of flagship features and affordability, making it a solid choice for those seeking a high-end experience without breaking the bank.

In conclusion, the Infinix Zero Ultra is an interesting device and worth the money, making it a great option for those who want the best of both worlds. We look forward to how Infinix continues to evolve and innovate with its future devices.
